Karslakes Solicitors was established in 2006 on Guildford High Street. Shortly afterwards recession struck, impacting adversely on many solicitors’ practices. Karslakes’ specialisms in banking litigation, insolvency and receivership proved to be “counter-cyclical” so the firm survived and developed during the recession years.

When the property market returned in the South East, Karslakes took the opportunity to expand its Commercial Property services. This has combined well with our property litigation expertise to provide a full range of services to clients.

Karslakes has also developed its Residential property services. The conveyancing market has changed, but we recognise that there is still a place for traditional “high street” values of personal service delivered by experienced practitioners. Our conveyancing services were awarded the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Service (CQS) accreditation in 2016.

Organic growth has always been important at Karslakes so we were delighted when our first trainees qualified in 2016 and remain with us as solicitors. The training cycle continues.

We are currently working hard to expand our general commercial services for start up and owner managed businesses.

Karslakes has invested heavily in technology to support our client services and continues to do so. Our case management system and knowledge resources are industry standard which enables us to compete effectively with larger firms.

We hope that you like our new website and would welcome your feedback.

Our property team has achieved accreditation through the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS). CQS is a quality standard for residential conveyancing law firms and acknowledges our integrity and the firm’s adherence to good practice management standards and efficient conveyancing procedures.
